Smartwatch support design thread (Pebble)

I will be getting a Pebble Round 2 when it ships later this year. The smartest watch I've ever owned was a Withings Scanwatch 2, which basically just did notifications. The pebble has a MUCH more versatile app SDK.

I'm keen to make a pebble watch companion app for LiftLog as its first entry into smart watch territory. This thread is mainly here to capture ideas from the community or my own for designs and features that a companion app might have. Ideally we can make it agnostic enough that we have a general design for UI/UX which can be applied to other watches.

For me, the shortest way to phrase a requirement would be: "your phone can remain in the locker room during the workout".

Translation: the watch app should permit to do the functions that relate to performing a workout, but not the ones related to defining. Displaying current exercise, Capturing weights and reps, timers. Consulting the weights/reps history is debatable, but I actually do it quite often during a workout.

For me it would be a great start, to see my current workout on the watch, and being able to log reps and rep counts while leaving my phone in my pocket.
I have it with me anyway.
