Summary

Browser actions previously required separate observations, snapshots could pair the wrong tab image with the DOM, and navigation completion could be missed because listeners started after the action. LiveMCP 2 returns scoped state with actions, supports bounded sequential batches and persistent element references, and fixes screenshot/wait/form targeting.

Observation results now support paging and deltas, frame/shadow targeting, and explicit truncation. Captures are bounded, response bodies are lazy, and the transport cleans up pending work and reconnects without replaying uncertain actions. This is a major result-contract change; the README includes upgrade instructions.

Validation

  • 20 local tests passed, including the built extension in isolated Chromium.
  • TypeScript checks and production builds passed.
  • Reproducible npm install completed with zero reported vulnerabilities.
  • Unchanged-delta fixture: 240 bytes versus 8,394 bytes for the full observation. No claim of measured Astra end-to-end speedup.
