A row of app icons over the gallery to narrow it to one app, and a single row per app until you ask for more - the direction the Mockup Lab's widget-picker scene settled on. Planned, in Next, beside the other Home Screen items.

One new item in Next, beside Edit Layout on Home:

widget-pickerscene settled on: the app row borrowed from the Notification App Row, with a capped single row per app underneath. That scene passes Check all sizes on all 172 windows, standard and at 200% text with right-to-left, Reduce Motion and long text.This goes live to every installed Folio when it merges — the roadmap is fetched from
main. So the wording is worth a look before then. It deliberately says nothing about the counts that prompted it (805 widgets on one phone, 430 from one pack): those are one person's installed apps, not something to publish.RoadmapTestpasses (3 tests).
