Welcome to the React Gym App! This application is designed to help users search for exercises, view exercise videos on YouTube, and interactively search for exercises based on body parts. Users can also view detailed information about each exercise. This README will provide you with essential information on how to set up and use this app.

The React Gym App comes with the following features:

  • Exercise Search: Users can search for exercises using keywords.

  • YouTube Video Integration: When viewing exercise details, users can watch related YouTube videos to learn how to perform the exercise correctly.

  • Interactive GIFs: Users can view interactive GIFs that demonstrate how to perform the exercise.

  • Exercise Filtering: Users can filter exercises by body parts (e.g., legs, arms, chest) to find specific exercises.

  • Exercise Details: Users can view detailed information about each exercise, including the name, description, equipment needed, and muscle groups worked.

Usage

  1. Exercise Search
  • Enter keywords related to the exercise you are looking for in the search bar.
  • Click the "Search" button or press Enter to initiate the search.
  1. View Exercise Details
  • Click on an exercise card from the search results to view detailed information about that exercise.
  • You can also watch related YouTube videos and view interactive GIFs for the exercise.
  1. Exercise Filtering
  • Use the dropdown menu to filter exercises by body part.
  • Select a body part from the list, and the app will display exercises related to that body part.

The React Gym App utilizes the following technologies:

  • React: The JavaScript library for building user interfaces.

  • React Router: Used for routing within the application.

  • RapidAPI YouTube Search: To fetch and display YouTube videos related to exercises.

  • RapidAPI ExerciseDB: To display interactive GIFs of exercises.

  • Material UI: Used for styling and responsive design.

  • Material UI Icons: For icons.
