Building fintech infrastructure for Africa

I build production-grade backend systems with a focus on African fintech infrastructure — payment integrations, cooperative savings platforms, real-time APIs, and distributed systems.

Currently building three backend projects:

  • Kolo — Fintech backend for Nigerian cooperative savings groups (ajo/esusu). Paystack virtual accounts, OTP auth, trust scoring, automated fines, tiered loans, and SMS notifications via Termii. Built so the platform never holds funds directly.
  • E-Commerce Backend — Production-grade REST API in Kotlin/Spring Boot. JWT + refresh token rotation, Stripe payments, Redis cart, Cloudinary uploads, SSE notifications, rate limiting, and full Docker Compose setup.
  • Ride-Hailing Backend — Real-time ride-hailing API in Java 21. Kafka event streaming (5 consumers), Redis GEO for driver proximity, WebSocket for live tracking.
