While testing the audio input modes for Nerimity, I've noticed that the one-size-fits-all solution Nerimity is currently going for with voice activity isn't all that great. I am not entirely sure if Nerimity is applying just auto-gain adjustment and a noise gate, or is also applying noise filtering by default with Voice Activity, but it would be nice to be able to manually adjust the features that do exist per user preference. I am currently piping my microphone to Nerimity through an external noise gate and setting Nerimity to 'Open Mic' in order to get a suitable noise gate level, though I am still fighting a bit with Nerimity's auto-gain adjustment.
