The page lets you shape a crosshair live and copy its code without installing anything; paste that code into the app to get the same one.
Download ScreenScope.exe from the
releases page and run it:
the crosshair appears at the centre of the screen. Right-click the system tray icon
for the menu.

Mod is Ctrl+Shift by default. To change it, open the Shortcuts tab, press
Change, and hold the combination you want: any mix of Ctrl, Alt, Shift and
Win, at least two of them together. It applies straight away, and the tab tells
you if Windows refused a key because another application already holds it.
Two keys minimum is not a whim. A single modifier would turn Mod+S, Mod+Q and
Mod+1–0 into global grabs, so the app would eat Save and Quit in every other
application on your machine.
Two combinations to think twice about:
Ctrl+Altis what Windows sends for AltGr. On a French AZERTY layout it takes@ ~ # { [ | ` \off the keyboard entirely. The Shortcuts tab names the exact characters your own layout would lose, so you see the cost before you keep it.- Anything with
Winmostly will not register: Windows reservesWin+1–0for the taskbar,Win+Shift+Sfor the snipping tool, and more. The tab marks the shortcuts Windows refused.
Two tabs. Crosshair holds everything about the crosshair itself on a single
page: pick the screen, pick a preset, name it, shape it, and save. Settings that
don't apply are grayed out — Gap means nothing without a cross, and Dot size
means nothing without a dot. Shortcuts holds the modifier.
Every preset boils down to a short code you can share:

Copy puts the current preset's code on the clipboard. Paste reads a code from the clipboard and applies it to the selected preset — then Save to keep it. Invalid codes are refused with a reason, and nothing is changed.
Two earlier features are gone: per-game profiles and the run-at-startup checkbox.
If you had ticked that checkbox, the shortcut it created is still there and Screen Scope
will keep starting with Windows — delete
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\Viseur.lnk if you
don't want that. A leftover profiles key in config.json is dropped on next save.
py tests\run_all.py
Windows only, and it needs a desktop session: two of the three batteries open real windows, on the second screen when there is one. They cover the characters a hotkey modifier takes off the keyboard, the config defaults, the window icon, and the overlay staying click-through.
