The citation section was extended and refromatted to include information how to cite specific GRASS versions by their version DOI. Before, only the concept DOI representing all GRASS versions was mentioned. The concept DOI will always resolve to the latest GRASS release. All version DOI are linked by metadata to the concept DOI as children/nodes.

This is a good idea, especially providing the reasoning, and use cases, but it requires a lot of carefulness.
- The overall page is significantly longer which makes it less usable. Google Scholar is now buried under GRASS 1.x.
- The maintenance of this page would require a lot of work and would be an ever-growing list which is already automatically maintained at Zenodo.
- Can the "GRASS 8.x - GRASS 7.8.6" section be collapsed to one example like pre-v7.8.6 has?
- The combination of badge and citation seems impractical. The citations should be sort of ready to be used, so DOI, URL, or whatever according to some (any) style.
- There is stackoverflow link there.
- I can't make sense out of the changes in the second part. There seems to be a lot of whitespace changes.
- Please, update to current branding. See https://grass.osgeo.org/news/2025_04_29_grass_branding_update/ and https://grass.osgeo.org/about/brand/
GRASS naming was streamlined (removed: "GRASS GIS"). Only the latest version DOI is noted. The Zenodo Landing page is referenced to access all earlier version DOI. Citation suggestion for GRASS pre 7.x - 1.x was removed.
Typos fixed, stackexchange reference purged.
