OpenTab Community Code of Conduct

Adapted from the Contributor Covenant v2.1

Our Pledge

At OpenTab, we’re building a student-led open source playground where everyone can learn, create, and grow. We pledge to make our community welcoming and harassment-free for all—no matter your age, background, disability, ethnicity, gender identity, experience level, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation. Let’s make OpenTab a place where curiosity and collaboration thrive!


Our Standards

Awesome behaviors we love:

  • 😊 Using kind, inclusive language that welcomes everyone.
  • 🤝 Respecting different perspectives and experiences.
  • 🌟 Accepting constructive feedback with grace.
  • 🙌 Focusing on what’s best for the community.
  • 🧡 Showing empathy and support for others.

Behaviors we don’t tolerate:

  • 🚫 Trolling, insults, or personal attacks.
  • 🚫 Any form of harassment, public or private.
  • 🚫 Sharing private info (e.g., emails, addresses) without permission.
  • 🚫 Conduct that’s inappropriate in a community setting.

Enforcement Responsibilities

Our maintainers are here to uphold this Code of Conduct. They’ll address violations fairly, with actions like warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans from OpenTab spaces (GitHub, Telegram, etc.). Maintainers may remove or edit contributions (comments, code, issues) that violate this code.

This Code of Conduct applies to all OpenTab spaces, including:

Reporting Violations

If you experience or see unacceptable behavior, report it by:

We’ll review reports within 48 hours, keeping you updated while respecting privacy.


Enforcement

Depending on the issue, we may:

  1. Issue a warning and suggest corrective actions.
  2. Temporarily suspend participation in OpenTab spaces.
  3. Permanently ban individuals from the community.

We aim for transparency while prioritizing safety and privacy.
