ci: harden CI and fix pre-existing errcheck findings - #12
Conversation
- Remove `|| true` from `go test` so failing tests fail CI. - Pin every GitHub Action to a full commit SHA with a version comment. - Pin golangci-lint to v2.14.0 instead of `latest`. - Stop persisting checkout credentials in release jobs that never push. - Make `make build-all` fail fast, list it in .PHONY, and clean dist. - Discard resp.Body.Close errors explicitly (errcheck) in provider/client.go. - Document the lint and coverage commands in CONTRIBUTING. 📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe CI and release workflows pin actions to commit SHAs. CI now fails on test errors and uses golangci-lint v2.14.0. The Makefile changes build and cleanup behavior. HTTP response paths explicitly discard body close errors. ChangesCI and release automation

Review comments at @CONTRIBUTING.md:
- Line 34: Update the local lint command in the contribution guide to set
GOWORK=off when running golangci-lint, ensuring it uses released modules rather
than a discovered local workspace.
- Line 46: Update the CONTRIBUTING.md guidance around golangci-lint to clarify
that `golangci-lint run ./...` checks the full repository and may report
pre-existing issues that CI’s `only-new-issues` filter ignores; describe it as a
stricter local check or document a command with equivalent filtering.
Review comments at @Makefile:
- Line 19: Update the build-all target to create the dist directory with mkdir
-p before its platform loop writes dist/plugin-... outputs.

go.mod pins the SDK to a pseudo-version, not a release. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Picks up the fixes for GO-2026-4762, GO-2026-6061, GO-2026-6348 and GO-2026-6443. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Set GOWORK=off on the golangci-lint step and in the documented local lint command, so both use the SDK pinned in go.mod rather than a local go.work. - Say that a local golangci-lint run checks the whole repository while CI uses only-new-issues. Summary
Clean-up pass: CI hardening, plus the fixes below.
|| truefromgo test, so failing tests fail the job. Theif: always()upload step still keeps the coverage profile.uses:points at a full commit SHA with a# vX.Y.Zcomment, which Renovate keeps updated.v2.14.0instead oflatest.persist-credentials: falseon release jobs that never push. The job that pushes the release tag still keeps them.build-allstops at the first failed platform build (|| exit 1), is listed in.PHONY, andcleanremovesdist.resp.Body.Close()errors inprovider/client.goare now explicitly discarded. These hits already existed and were hidden byonly-new-issues; a full lint run now reports 0 issues.google.golang.org/grpcv1.82.1 → v1.83.2 (go mod tidy), for GO-2026-4762 / -6061 / -6348 / -6443. CodeRabbit flagged these on the audiobook and SDK sync PRs; every plugin was below the fixed version.go.modpins the SDK to a pseudo-version, so the guide no longer calls it a "tagged" or "released" dependency (the same finding CodeRabbit raised on the ebook and audiobook sync PRs).Validation
