Hopefully fixes #2 although my suggestion is maybe naively simple and I don't know any obvious way to test it!
I did some Googling and it seems
/staticwill be mounted at root but that is determined by thepublicPathproperty in thebuildargument (see docs - https://v2.nuxt.com/docs/configuration-glossary/configuration-build/#publicpath). The default forpublicPathis/_nuxt/.Type: Bug
