Summary
In RedisKeyEditor, collection types provide deletion controls:
- Hashes support
HDEL via _hashDel
- Sets support
SREM via _setRemove
- Sorted Sets support
ZREM via _zsetRemove
However, for lists (_buildListEditor), only RPUSH is implemented. The _IndexedValueRow widget only displays the index and value without any deletion or editing options. If a user pushes an incorrect item or wants to delete or update an element at a given index, there is no way to do so via the UI.
Repro
- Open a Redis
list key in RedisKeyEditor.
- Push a new item using
RPUSH.
- Try to delete or edit an existing item in the list.
- Notice that no delete button or action exists in
_IndexedValueRow.
Scope
- Implement item deletion in
_IndexedValueRow using LREM or pop commands.
- Provide inline editing or an edit dialog for list items using
LSET key index value.
- Respect
widget.isReadOnly and prompt with confirmDestructiveAction before deletion.
Out of scope
- Arbitrary index element insertion (
LINSERT).
