Welcome to the Hand-Gesture-Recognition application! This tool allows you to recognize hand gestures in real-time and count fingers using MediaPipe and OpenCV. Follow the steps below to set it up on your computer.
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS, or Linux
- RAM: At least 4 GB
- Processor: Dual-core or better
- Python: Version 3.7 or higher installed on your system
Make sure your system meets these requirements before you start.

Visit the Releases Page Go to the Releases page to find the latest version of the application.

Choose the Right File On the Releases page, look for the most recent version. You will see files available for download, such as:

Download the File Click on the file that matches your operating system to begin downloading. Once the download completes, locate the file in your downloads folder.

Run the Installer
- For Windows: Double-click on

Allow Permissions If your operating system asks for permission to run the application, click "Allow" to continue.

Open the Application Launch the Hand-Gesture-Recognition application by clicking on its icon.

Setup Your Camera The application requires access to your device's camera. Ensure your camera is working properly and positioned to capture your hands clearly.

Start Recognizing Gestures Click on the "Start" button on the main interface. You will see the camera feed on your screen. Hold your hand up for gesture recognition.

Interpret the Results The application will display recognized gestures and finger counts in real-time. Familiarize yourself with the interface to understand what gestures correspond to which actions.

No, the application requires a webcam to function properly. If you have an external webcam, it can be used as well.
- For Windows: Go to "Control Panel" > "Programs" > "Uninstall a program", find the application, and click "Uninstall".
- For macOS: Drag the application from the Applications folder to the Trash.
- For Linux: Delete the extracted application folder.
- If the application crashes, try restarting your computer and opening it again.
- Ensure you have the latest drivers for your webcam.
