Ranch Hand Robotics specializes in Open Source software for developing Robots solutions and provides solutions for Outdoor Robotics with a special emphasis on robots for Farms, Fields and Forests.
Lou, has been a member of the ROS Community since 2017. Professionally he developed ROS 1 and 2 distributions for Windows, and built software to support Windows and Linux with Azure. Prior to this, he was an active contributor to the Maker Movement, and Microsoft's Robotics Studio. Leading the Azure Edge Robotics team, he was responsible for the popular Visual Studio Code ROS Extension. Lou was recently given permission to relaunch it. He and his wife founded Ranch Hand Robotics, LLC embracing their passion for Homesteading, farms and forest management to continue developing these extensions, while adding new capabilities.
