⚠️ THIS GUIDE IS ONLY FOR FIXING OLD REC ROOM VERSIONS! IF YOU SELECT ANY MODERN VERSIONS OF REC ROOM YOU WILL BE BANNED. - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ⚠️

Some builds of Rec Room like to crash after doing modifications to them. This is a simple guide on how to fix this issue.

Step 1: Download the MelonLoader installer

You can get it from here. Click the file called "MelonLoader.Installer.exe" to download it.

Step 2: Injecting MelonLoader

Upon loading the MelonLoader installer, you should see a window like this

Click on the "SELECT" button and select the executable for the Rec Room version you are having issues with.

⚠️ NOTE: IF YOU SELECT ANY MODERN VERSIONS OF REC ROOM YOU WILL BE BANNED. - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ⚠️

After selecting it, DO NOT CLICK INSTALL. We have to change what version of MelonLoader we are installing since the latest one (v0.6.1) has some issues.

Uncheck the latest box and select the dropdown. Within the dropdown, select v0.5.7

After that, you can now click the big green INSTALL button. When installation is complete, you can close the installer and launch Rec Room.

Note: After installing MelonLoader, you may see an additional command prompt window open. This is normal.
