First public beta of RentnerProxy. Beta 1 completes the planned v1 feature set and starts feature freeze and stabilization. Primary goals, in logical roadmap order (not strict implementation order): 1. CrowdSec protection 2. Forward Auth access policies 3. Nginx Proxy Manager migration 4. Alpha-to-Beta upgrade hardening 5. Release upgrade compatibility matrix 6. Long-running runtime reliability 7. Scale and concurrency testing 8. Backup/restore compatibility 9. Comprehensive v1 Beta security review 10. Alpha 3 / Alpha 4 tester feedback 11. Final Beta UX/accessibility review 12. Beta 1 release preparation After Beta 1, the core runtime architecture is frozen: Caddy remains the proxy engine, the Desired-State/Controller architecture stays, and core proxy semantics should remain stable. Breaking DB/API/backup changes require a compelling compatibility or security reason. Focus shifts to bug fixes, compatibility, performance, reliability and tester feedback. Not required as new Beta work: DDNS, Prometheus/OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, high availability, plugin marketplace, full traffic analytics, a large authentication platform or major runtime architecture changes. This roadmap setup authorizes planning only. No implementation or release is performed by this task. No release date is committed. Beta retains CrowdSec, Forward Auth, the NPM importer, comprehensive security review, long-running reliability, scale/concurrency, broader upgrade/backup compatibility, final accessibility review, and release preparation. Consume the Alpha 4 persistence and trust contracts; do not duplicate or consider the actual Beta features completed by these foundations.
