Implementation of part A of the Mooney–Verhallen Test (MVT) in formr for psychological and cognitive research. Includes task materials, stimuli, and detailed setup instructions to reproduce the procedure described in Verhallen & Mollon (2016) (https://doi.org/10.3758/s13428-015-0666-0). If you use this formr implementation in your research, please cite Ohse et al. (2025) (XXX).

Create a survey

Upload .xlsx to survey

• Within survey creation, upload test_mva1_german.xlsx or test_mva1_english.xlsx.
• Repeat the same procedure by creating another survey and uploading test_mva2_german.xlsx or test_mva2_english.xlsx.

Create a run

Add modules to the run

Add modules to the run and configurate them as follows:

Add CSS file to the test

In the run, go to "Configuration" -> "Settings" -> "CSS" and add the code of MVT_CSS.css

Add JavaScript file to the test

In the run, go to "Configuration" -> "Settings" -> "JS" and add the code of MVT_JS_english.js (or MVT_JS_german.js)
