This is something that was also the same in pwa-kit but was always requested to be changed in projects so I will leave this feedback here. If I select a color or a size and click back instead of getting to the PLP I just unselect the selected value. This feels quite of to customer expectations and I think in all projects we changed this from a "push" navigation to a "replace"
