Let a player who cannot forward a port host a battle, by giving them a relayed address on a TURN server that anybody can reach. Under TURN the server's part is small. It hands out short-lived credentials over the lobby protocol, tells a relay host each joiner's address so they can be allowed through, and runs the TURN server itself. The host advertises the relayed address as an ordinary battle address, so other lobbies join it without knowing a relay is involved and need no changes.
