Hi there! 👋
I'm Shayan, an Electrical and Computer Engineering Master's student @ the University of California, Davis.
I design and build whatever I can imagine.
If an idea pops into my head, chances are I'll build it.
My main tech stack is:
- Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL for RTL design
- Intel Quartus Prime and ModelSim for simulation, testbenches, and timing verification
- C and C++ for memory management, and systems programming
- Microcontrollers including TI CC3200
- Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys tools
- Altium Designer and KiCad for multi layer PCB layout, high voltage routing
- Instruction Set Architectures (ISA) like RISC-V or ARM Assembly
- Python and shell scripting for testbench automation, data parsing, and CI/CD workflows
I have got a bunch of pinned projects, but my favorite one is FPGA based acceleration of non linear functions using Newton Raphson
Fun facts:
- I love making coffee every morning!
- Attack on Titan is my favorite anime
- Hobbies: hiking, gym, soccer, building things
- I used to be a Division 2 volleyball player
