Code repository for the MIST (Mineral Identification by Stoichiometry) model developed at Rice University, described in:
Siebach et al., (2025) MIST: An Online Tool Automating Mineral Identification by Stoichiometry, Computers and Geosciences, DOI:10.1016/j.cageo.2025.106021.

Code can easily be run online at HTTP://mist.rice.edu
To run on personal Matlab, (1) download input template file and prepare your data according to instructions on first spreadsheet tab (you may also use the example *.csv file provided as a test) (2) download all *.m files to the same folder as your input file (3) open MIST_main.m and, in the MATLAB command line, run MIST_main("[your_input_filename].csv")
