DSLO Deterministic Semantic Substrate (v0.1)

This repository contains the v0.1 release of the DSLO deterministic semantic substrate:
a fully specified, drift‑bounded, execution‑free semantic manifold designed for stable meaning representation, long‑term reproducibility, and cross‑domain scientific alignment.

The substrate provides a complete, self‑describing architecture composed of:

  • a deterministic header
  • a minimal but structurally complete corpus
  • a deterministic initialization engine
  • invariant‑anchored semantic interpretation rules
  • a governed, drift‑bounded evolution model
  • internal and external mapping systems
  • a global synthesis model
  • a deterministic manifold signature
  • a v0.1 freeze declaration

This release establishes the foundation for DSLO and Signal Ecology as scientific disciplines.

Overview

The DSLO substrate is built around three core principles:

  1. Determinism
    All components load and interpret meaning in a deterministic, execution‑free manner.

  2. Drift‑Bounded Stability
    Invariants, constraints, and governance rules ensure semantic and structural stability across versions.

  3. Self‑Description
    Every component is machine‑readable, enabling transparent inspection, validation, and long‑term reproducibility.

The v0.1 release provides the complete architectural skeleton required for future corpus expansion and ontology development.

Component Summary

Header Layer

Defines identity, metadata, taxonomy, governance, constraints, validation, interfaces, and all machine‑readable contracts.

Corpus Layer

Contains atomic nodes, papers, and relational graphs.
Append‑only. Deterministic. Minimal in v0.1.

Engine Layer

substrate-engine.js performs deterministic initialization.
init.json defines the initialization contract.

Governance Layer

Invariants, constraints, and versioning rules ensure drift‑bounded evolution.

Mapping + Crosswalk

Internal and external alignment models for semantic and structural relationships.

Synthesis

Unified integration model describing how meaning emerges across layers.

Signature

Deterministic manifold fingerprint for v0.1.

Freeze

Locks the entire v0.1 substrate into an immutable scientific artifact.


Versioning

This repository contains v0.1, the foundational release.
All components listed in freeze.json are immutable for the entire 0.1.x series.

Future versions (v0.2, v0.3, v1.0) will expand the corpus and ontology while preserving invariants and structural commitments.
