💡 What: Refactored the currentData array generation to use useMemo, pre-calculate day boundaries as simple Unix timestamps outside the loop, and apply FlatList virtualization parameters.
🎯 Why: Instantiating Date objects inside the high-frequency Array.prototype.filter loop degrades performance on large datasets. The missing FlatList parameters led to higher memory usage and slower render speeds for long lists.
📊 Impact: Eliminates repetitive Date allocations, achieving an $O(N)$ operation using extremely fast integer comparisons. Dramatically reduces memory consumption and render times for long flight lists.
🔬 Measurement: Verify via code review. Run the app, observe faster loading of lists and smoother scrolling when navigating between arrivals/departures and today/tomorrow views.
