I suggest considering the possibility of adding an alarm to the app when the user-specified level is exceeded during charging and when the battery level drops below the user-specified level during discharging.
Problem / Use Case
Both deep discharge and overcharging of Li-Ion/Li-Polymer battery leads to battery degradation and is not recommended. However, the user currently has no way to receive notifications when the charger needs to be connected or disconnected.

Proposed Solution
When connected to a charger, check the battery level every minute. If the battery level exceeds the user-defined limit, a recurring notification should be issued. When disconnected from a charger, the notification should be disabled.
In the app settings, the user can select the pause duration between notifications (either by entering a number of seconds / by setting a fixed value, such as 5, 10, 20, 40, or 90 seconds).
The user can select a sound to notify when the charger needs to be disconnected.
