• FAccT --> DRC mesh update - link to prospective abstract & skeleton; link to a rough table of how the findings are organized

  • Skeleton is still in the "writing to think" phase - I'd like to check in with the abstract and high-level structure

• Meeting with Joshua - stream of consciousness notes here (no need to read through)

  • Important point are:
    • Yes they would love to collab
    • Yes they are working with Workers Alg. Observatory (Dana Calacci et al)
    • Issues of interest:
      • Currently looking at company take rates via drivers tax data (I think this project is time sensitive)
      • Drivers are experiencing congestion issues - too many drivers on the platforms and too little demand
      • We also talked about the DU's dashcam discount program and their experimental data requesting process for indiv. drivers (similar to what the CCPA is intended to do - though he wasn't immediately aware of the CACCPA)

• Meeting with Rachel Erstad next Tuesday

• Response from Minsu at PowerSwitch (the tentative CA CCPA collab)

ADVISING

• CSCW workshop & follow-ups;
  • I'll elaborate but the preview is: I'd love to ask some advising Qs about rarity of other resarchers who overlap w research aims, barriers to collab. & cooperation in academia
