Categorizing Repos as "Software"

We define software as ...

• Software may be an algorithm, script, code,or database that is used for doing research - that is publishing a paper, doing some kind of data transformation, visualization, or analysis, a system, etc.

What does not count as software

• Class repository
• Homework
• Web page / Lab web page
• Capstones
• Reading lists ("Good ML papers")

To be included in our "census" - software must have a fork, star, watchers - and not be a fork of someone else's library (that is we are focusing on new software)

Sample:

• Lets each code 25 - and tag these are either being software or not software (using the criteria above)
