Format Journal Manuscript

format-journal-manuscript is a Codex skill for placing an academic manuscript into a target journal's Word template without rewriting the manuscript's scholarly content.

Required inputs

• The original manuscript (.doc or .docx)
• The target journal's Word template (.doc or .docx)
• The target journal and article type
• Optional supplementary material

What it does

• Works from a copy of the supplied template
• Preserves text, equations, figures, tables, fields, notes, and references
• Checks current official journal requirements and a representative published article
• Highlights missing author-supplied information
• Performs object-level and page-by-page quality assurance

Use

Install the format-journal-manuscript folder in your Codex skills directory, then ask Codex:

Use $format-journal-manuscript to place my manuscript into the supplied journal template without rewriting its content.

User manuscripts, journal templates, rendered pages, logs, and other private working files are not included in this repository.
