Temporary fork-local PR used only to rebase the already validated RC1 logical patch onto current upstream ZHC 26.108.1 via GitHub's three-way merge. Base is an exact current-upstream mirror. If mergeable, squash into one commit, then validate the resulting exact SHA and use it to update the public candidate PR #6. Do not upstream this temporary PR.
