Pi Agent Kickstart

A minimal, portable Pi configuration with generic interaction, safety, and workflow primitives.

Included

• extensions/ — structured questions, Codex usage, secret redaction, and permission gating
• skills/ — reusable, language-neutral workflows
• prompts/ — a generic implementation workflow
• settings.json, models.json, mcp.json — minimal Pi configuration with a Codex default
• openai-server-compaction.json, state/codex-fast-mode.json — focused Codex workflow settings
• pi-web-access — web search and fetch tools
• permissions.json — generic tool, path, and shell permissions

The Codex default and focused workflow settings are intentional. Provider credentials, alternate models, MCP integrations, themes, editor bindings, local overrides, and unrelated runtime/session state are excluded. Add them in your local Pi configuration.

Use

Copy or link the configuration files into the relevant Pi config directory, then install development dependencies:

npm install

Configure credentials, alternate models, MCP servers, and local permissions outside this repository. Never commit credentials or OAuth tokens.
