fix(date): Apply the ui-date-format to the dateOptions if provided

Alas, there isn't a team for ui-date, just myself, and I am trying to find the difference between chrome and Firefox that causes this problem or a way to resolve it in a different way. Any suggestions are welcome on how to rewrite this to work for at least ff and chrome.

Let me look deeper into this problem. Because I'm a bit don't like try-catch construction and hope we can avoid this. BTW(this PR doesn't work in my case unfortunately)

Fantastic thanks, yah let's try to improve it. Wish I had more time to work
on it but now that I'm not using it in production (or even angular) it has
been more challenging.
