helper function called "value" is in conlict with the core laravel helper function of the same name

Hello everyone, just after installing the firewall package, I worked on a feature where I had to send an email. Unfortunately, Laravel threw an error: ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function Illuminate\Mail\Mailable::Illuminate\Mail\{closure}(), 0 passed in /var/www/html/administration/vendor/pragmarx/support/src/helpers.php. After much research, I realized that the firewall package was using a helper function that already exists in Laravel. I tried to find solutions through Google and even ChatGPT, but none of the proposed solutions worked.

Thanks for the report. The error ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function Illuminate\Mail\Mailable::Illuminate\Mail{closure}() is not caused directly by Laravel Mail. It comes from a conflict in the pragmarx/firewall package, which depends on pragmarx/support. That package overrides a global helper function that Laravel 10 already uses internally, and this leads to a mismatch when Laravel handles closures inside Mailable.

Root cause is that pragmarx/support defines or overrides a global helper, while Laravel 10 has changed internal handling of closures in the mail pipeline. As a result, the closure receives missing arguments and triggers the ArgumentCountError.

To fix this, the recommended approach is to update the affected packages to versions compatible with Laravel 10:

composer update pragmarx/firewall pragmarx/support
composer dump-autoload
php artisan cache:clear
php artisan config:clear

If updating is not enough because the package version is not fully compatible, a temporary workaround is to inspect vendor/pragmarx/support/src/helpers.php and locate the helper function causing the conflict, then rename or remove it. This is not a long-term solution since it will be overwritten on future composer updates.

The most stable long-term fix is to avoid global helper overrides entirely and refactor the logic into class-based helpers instead of global functions, ensuring no collision with Laravel core internals.
