When will a new version be released?

Question

When updating the dependencies of a project using iceberg-go (using go get -u), an incompatible version of avro is pulled in, which leads to the following build error:

However, the main branch of iceberg-go already references avro 1.8.0.
Are there any plans to release a new version soon?

While we wait, I do have to apologize - I'm sorry, the compile error was from my avro change. I changed an API that wasn't fully stable to be better long term without realizing it was already used in this library (I saw after I released and proceeded to do the PR patching this library). You can pin to github.com/twmb/avro @ 1.7.2 in the mean time. The existing avro package APIs should now be truly frozen forever.

We recently bumped some dependencies, but I've been travelling these past couple weeks. I plan on putting together a new release next week-ish.

Great to hear. Recent performance improvements are dramatic and very much worth cutting a new release.
