This adds schema compatibility checks (which relates to Java's CheckCompatibility). This is wildly useful for ensuring that schemas are allowed according to the Iceberg spec. Terraform uses this functionality extensively...and we've implemented a good bit of it ourselves, which I'd like to get out of the habit of.
AI Disclosure: Claude built this for me under my supervision. I noticed that this was one of a few places where we could take Terraform functionality and upstream it for everyone.
