Hi there!

I'm April, a backend software engineer based in Melbourne, Australia.

I work mainly with Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native microservices, building backend systems for SaaS products. Most of my work sits around APIs, integrations, identity, data, and making systems easier to maintain and scale.

I’m drawn to practical engineering: tools, platforms, and workflows that solve real problems. That same curiosity also led me to explore data and product thinking more deeply, and eventually brought me to Australia to complete my Master of Information Technology at Deakin University, with a focus on Data Science.

These days, I’m exploring how backend systems, developer workflows, and agentic tools can make everyday engineering work easier.
