clipmon acts as a central hub for your clipboard. It stores every text snippet and image you copy. You can search these items, organize them, and send them to your phone or tablet. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
- Open the release page.
- Look for the latest version at the top of the list.
- Click the file that ends in .exe for Windows.
- Save the file to your computer.
After you download the installation file, follow these steps to set up the software.
- Double-click the downloaded file in your downloads folder.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Choose a folder for the installation or keep the default settings.

- Ignore Apps: Prevent the app from recording sensitive data from password managers or banking websites.
Does the app record my passwords? No. You can add specific applications to an ignore list in the settings. This prevents clipmon from saving text copied from those apps.
How much memory does this app use? The app runs in the background with minimal impact on your system. It is designed to be lean and avoids slowing down your computer.
Can I delete specific clips? Yes. Open the search window. Hover your mouse over the item you want to remove. Click the small trash icon that appears next to it.
Does it work without an internet connection? Yes. All your history stays local on your computer. You only need the internet if you want to sync data to a mobile device.
Can I search for images? Yes. The app saves images as well as text. You can drag and drop these images into other windows or documents.
- Pin clips: Pin your most used snippets to the top of the list. These will stay there after you clear your history.
- Search filters: Use #text or #image in the search bar to filter your results.
- Select multiple: Hold the Ctrl key to select several items at once for deleting or copying.
- Export data: You can export your history to a file if you choose to wipe your data. This is useful for backups.
