Building from source

There are no special package requirements for building the project from source. The only tool required is jam which is included with Haiku by default.

To build the basic Now Open template application and all of the predefined launchers:

~> cd NowOpen
~/NowOpen> jam

To build just one launcher you may specify it on the command line like:

~/NowOpen> jam MPV
~/NowOpen> jam Jar\ Launcher
...

The built launchers will be available in the obj.X86 directory. You may need to run the launcher once for it to show up in the Haiku Open with... menu or as a file handler FileTypes application. In addition, launchers that have Folder or Volume in their supported file types seem to need a full reboot of Haiku in order to show up.
