and body. Push the feature branch if needed, summarise the
gate results, and wait for a "yes" before opening the PR.

## After a PR is merged

Once a pull request is squash-merged, the feature branch can be
deleted — but only after `main` has been pulled (or the squash
commit has been independently verified on `origin/main`). The
order matters:

1. Confirm the squash commit is on `origin/main` (`git fetch
origin && git log origin/main` — the squash message ends
with `(#<pr-number>)`).
2. Delete the feature branch locally with `git branch -D
feature/<name>`. `-D` is required because git compares
commit hashes; the squash creates a new commit on `main`
that doesn't share history with the feature branch even
though the changes are identical, so `-d` will refuse.
3. Delete the feature branch on the remote (`git push origin
--delete feature/<name>`).

Skipping step 1 risks losing in-flight work if the merge was
never completed or got reverted. Don't pre-emptively delete
branches just because a PR exists — only after the merge is
visible on `origin/main`.
