This repository contains the dataset, evaluation pipeline, and analysis scripts for the paper: "CHIEF: Chinese Hierarchical Integrity & Ethics Framework for LLMs".
CHIEF is a comprehensive benchmark designed to deeply evaluate Large Language Models (LLMs) on regional socio-political norms and values. It probes models across 12 core societal dimensions using a multi-dimensional generation matrix, avoiding superficial safety jailbreaks and focusing on deep ideological alignment.
- Multi-Dimensional Probing: 648 unique probing scenarios built on 12 societal dimensions, 6 question types, 3 stances, and 3 subtlety levels.
- Dynamic Rubrics: Deprecates static safety rubrics. Each prompt is accompanied by a prompt-specific, 5-point grading criteria rigidly calibrated by human experts.
- Cross-Lingual Alignment Shift: Includes a multilingual mini-benchmark exposing the critical vulnerability of "Cultural Drift" when aligned models are prompted in other UN languages.
