Diginoma was an experimental project aimed at connecting digital nomads — especially families — to help them meet, socialize, and build real-life connections while traveling.
The idea was to create a simple, accessible platform focused on people rather than business networking, with features like:
- Profile creation
- Location-based discovery
- Travel plans sharing
- Direct messaging between users
- Status
The project has been officially discontinued.
Despite the initial vision and development effort, Diginoma did not gain enough traction to grow sustainably. At the same time, ongoing costs (infrastructure, APIs, maintenance) made it difficult to continue the project without a solid user base.
As part of the shutdown:
- 🌐 The website https://diginoma.life has been taken offline
- 👥 The Meetup group has been closed
- 📸 The Instagram account has been deleted
All associated services and platforms are no longer active.
This project was a valuable experience in:
- Building and launching a product from scratch (again ;p)
- Testing a real-world idea quickly
- Understanding the challenges of user acquisition
- Managing costs vs. growth in early-stage projects
Even though Diginoma didn’t succeed, it was an important step and a great learning journey.
Sometimes stopping a project is the right decision to move forward with better ideas.
