Releases: bladestech/BATTinfo
5.0 Stable - Final
With this release, BATTinfo is now in its final version, and no further updates or development will be made.
Changelog:
Bug Fixes:
- Long awaited bug fix about the estimated time remaining functionality showing a random long number while device is being charged. That functionality is now disabled as it is not very accurate anyway.
Improvements:
- Did some further polishing with the "UI" of the app as far as looks go.
- Polished up the sentences displayed by the script.
- Background color is now light blue, text color is white.
Extra information:
- .exe version is not available because I do not consider it sufficiently important at the moment. May come in the future though.
The future:
I really enjoyed developing this cool little script, but my focus has shifted away from batch scripting (the script is already relatively advanced for being written in batch anyway). Furthermore, time constraints have pushed me to not work on programming as much as in the past, that includes my other software, not just BATTinfo. If I ever decide to update the app again, which I highly doubt, it is most likely going to be an incremental update or a bug fix , it is absolutely not going to be a major/semi-major update like this one.
For everyone that followed this journey, thank you. While BATTinfo is now complete, I will not be abandoning its cousin BATTinfo-OPEN and BATTinfo-Classic anytime soon, and I may even bring a python revision of BATTinfo to my github in the future.
3.1.2 Stable Experimental
Decided to try something new, something that will maybe make this app look better :D
Changelog:
- App is officially available in .exe format
- App asks for administrator privileges on start, no need to manually run as administrator.
This release version isn't at all different from 3.1, the code is identical, it's just a test so that the .exe variant can be available as an option in all releases from now on!
There's a severe downside to the .exe format and that's the file size, while the batch variant is just about 2 kilobytes, the .exe variant is about 100x that. This is why it's going to be completely optional, don't expect the batch variant to disappear anytime soon!
BATTinfo Classic is not scheduled to get a .exe variant due to it defeating the purpose of "Classic". If you wanna check it out, click here.
3.1 Stable
Minor update.
Changelog:
- Edited the script so that instead of yes/no you now have to use Y/N to confirm instead. Just to make things a bit simpler.
3.0 Stable
This is sadly going to be the last feature update for BATTinfo.
That being said, this is what has been added to 3.0!
- Much better looking UI, more organized aswell.
- Removed unnecessary text.
This was more of an attempt to refine the visuals of beta 2.0 , so that's the reason nothing major has been added.
It is fair to say that BATTinfo has finally exited the beta stage and is now considered about 95% finished!
Beta 2.0 (Stable)
Added:
- Battery status feature (Charging/Discharging)
- Estimated time left till fully discharged (estimated time to fully charge is also there but currently broken, and if unfixable, will be removed sometime in the future)
- Made the UI a bit more pleasant to look at.
Beta 1.0 (Stable)
First public version of BATTinfo.
- Generates battery report
- Shows current battery percentage
