To setup the sys.path to the root development directory containing all bmcs packages - there is a description for windows using the conda-develop command. This is available in anaconda-prompt on windows. In linux, there is no need for anaconda prompt sinse the conda cli is provided directly in the terminal. However, the conda-develop comand is not available. Can an additional path be added directly to the environment in some configuration file?

The anaconda-prompt command will simply add the file USER_HOME_DIRECTORY\Anaconda3\Lib\site-packages\conda.pth which is a plain text file that only contains the paths (each path on a new line and without quotation marks).

So it should work if you added this file manually (I also read that the file name conda doesn't matter; only .pth extension is important so something like rch_packages_paths.pth should also work)
