ORA Data Model

Content relating to the ORA Data Model, in particular, the METS version of the data model and accompanying customised MODS schema.

This project maintains the following files relating to the ORA Data Model:

ORA Data Model to METS

A MODS file defining how to encode an ORA Data Model object in MODS, including METS conversion (ora_datamodel_to_mets-2.4.xml).

ORA MODS Schema

An XML schema which validates the ORA Data Model to MODS document, this is an update to Mods 3.7, that also allows for some ORA specific fields (alternativeName, and roles within contributors) (ora_mods-3.8.xsd).

ORA Data Model to Binary File Metadata

A MODS/METS fragment defining how to encode an individual binary file's metadata (ora_datamodel_to_binary_file_metadata-2.4.xml).

Symplectic to ORA Field Mapping

A mapping between Symplectic fields and ORA Data Model fields (elements_xwalks/).

ORA Data Model to JSON

A representation of the ORA data model as a Javascript Object (the file is in Javascript to allow for comments, but is intended as a guide for generating a JSON object) (ora_datamodel_to_json-2.4.js).
