Events are things that happened at a specific point in time. They can also be events that are 'foretold' that might happen.
The purpose of events is to keep a register of all the different noteworthy events that happened in moments of interest. Did a PC marry? Did they vanquish a foe? Was a specific item activated by potential horrifying means? Either way, they can be a quick event.
Time in Stonetop is odd. There is still 12 months, split up into four quadrants (the seasons). But no de facto timekeeping date or otherwise is provided. Games could choose to keep that vague 'time' feeling that comes with the cottagecore iron-age time. The idea would be organize things into the quadrants and have a relative order of what happened. Games may start with 'year 1', a somewhat meta-name, but it should be fine.
For example:
- Summer Year 1
- Rothgar was killed on the hunt.
- Marylinde was married to Blabla
- Fall Year 1
- The sparkledogs attacked the village
