Loci previously repeated operation rules across global entries, startup maps, root instruction files, behavior docs and two Dashboard chat prompts. This change keeps one short LOCI.md entry and one complete LOCI-RULES.md manual: preferences load at startup, the manual loads at first memory use, and user data stays on demand.

Installation now starts with an instruction users paste into their AI, documented in docs/AI-INSTALL.md. A single cross-platform Node installer/updater replaces the npm package, browser wizard and duplicated Shell implementations. Upgrades merge owned instruction blocks, preserve personal data, back up changes and roll back failed migrations; explicit rollback refuses to overwrite subsequent edits. The auto/manual mode split is retired.

The Chinese-first README, English option and website explain the architecture and AI installation. Existing task, schedule, scrap, people and project storage/tools remain in place. Claude Code, Codex and WorkBuddy have entry adapters; additional clients require actual entry/tool verification.

Validation: all 9 local test files pass, including fresh/repeated installs, legacy migration, optional hook errors, special-character paths, rollback, data preservation, shared chat entry and existing task/scrap checks. Website language switching and the install-copy control were checked in the browser. Linux/macOS/Windows CI must pass before merge. Native-client instruction compliance and device notification delivery are not established by these file-level tests.
