- Insert "What is this?" layman summary at top of README for non-technical readers - Insert comprehensive "Install" section covering pipx, uv, pip+git, and source install - Update install.sh with full cross-platform install options - Add install.ps1 for Windows users - Add layman.md with plain-language description
- core.audit_bytes: reject non-bytes input with TypeError; normalise bytearray/memoryview so callers don't get silent wrong results - mcp_server: fix broken import of non-existent scan/to_json symbols; use audit_image + json.dumps(result.to_dict()); wrap tool handler in FileNotFoundError/OSError guards so bad paths return JSON errors instead of uncaught exceptions; fix E501 line-too-long (ruff) - tests: add 8 new edge-case / error-path tests covering TypeError on bad input, bytearray normalisation, empty image, all-zeros image, CLI with no subcommand, CLI with empty file, mcp_server importability, and truncated PE header robustness (18 total, all passing)
