Some unexplained kernel stalls have been observed on Debian 8 (Jessie). These stalls occur after netmirage-core has set up a network. htop shows one logical CPU at 100% usage in kernel space. Most operations that interact with the kernel during this time (standard system utilities, graphical programs, etc.) will freeze when making kernel calls. This unexplained kernel usage persists even after netmirage-core has terminated and all NetMirage-related network namespaces have been destroyed. The kernel stall disappears after some time---possibly 30 minutes or more. This likely indicates a kernel bug.
