Brew Chamber Controller (bcc) is a program written for the Beaglebone Black in the python language.

While controlling temperatures of a freezer or refrigerator is easy with commercial products, they are limited to just controlling temperatures. If that is all you are interested in then the commercial products are what you should use.

However if you want more than temperature control, then using a programmable micro-controller is the way to go.
