From data to knowledge

Slides, notebooks and datasets for the course "From data to knowledge" celebrated in the Transform4Europe programme.

These course addresses the exploitation of data to extract knowledge by means of data mining techniques. The lectures introduce the concepts of data mining, exploratory data analysis (including different visualisation techniques) and machine learning. In addition to the analysis of structured data by means of data mining techniques, the course also covers different approaches to analyse and extract knowledge from textual information (i.e., text mining).
