some questions regarding development

Hi David,

I have read all idmapper's code and I have a couple questions. I was not sure about mailing them to you or putting them here, sorry.

First I would like to know what would you say is the state of the code? do you use it somewhere in production?

Second do you know why there is no recent effort in trying to reuse this approach to resolve ticket #17 from Django trac?

Finally I would like to contribute to the code, but not sure where to start, any pointers?
