A full-stack EdTech web application built in 36 hours at Ignition Hacks 2024. Meamifyy converts lecture notes or study content into auto-generated flashcards paired with memes — making revision more engaging for students.
Built by a team of three. My contribution covered the React frontend and the Imgflip API integration for meme generation.
- User pastes lecture content or study notes into the input field
- The backend sends the content to the Groq LLM API, which extracts key concepts and generates flashcard questions and answers
- Each flashcard is paired with a meme fetched from the Imgflip API
- Flashcards are displayed in the React frontend and persisted via SQLAlchemy

npm startMeme selection is based on Imgflip's available templates and doesn't always match the flashcard topic — a known constraint of the Imgflip free API. Given the 36-hour hackathon timeline, semantic meme matching was outside scope for this MVP.
